Benue PDP Appoints Chief Bemgba Iortyom as Media Consultant

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has announced the appointment of Chief Bemgba Iortyom as Media Consultant to the Benue State PDP.
The State Secretary, Comr. Dan Nyikwagh, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Makurdi on Friday.
He explained that the appointment, which takes immediate effect, aligns with the party’s commitment to strengthening its communication strategies and public engagement as it continues to consolidate its position as the party that prioritizes the interests of the Benue people.


Nyikwagh noted that Chief Iortyom’s deep understanding of the political landscape in Benue State, along with his commitment to the ideals of the PDP, makes him well suited to help project the party’s vision, programmes, and achievements at this critical moment.
The statement read: “As Media Consultant, Chief Iortyom will be responsible for advising the party on media relations, managing its public image, and coordinating the dissemination of information to the public.
“The Benue PDP State Working Committee (SWC) is confident that Chief Iortyom’s professionalism and expertise will significantly enhance the party’s interface with the media and the people of Benue State.”
He, on behalf of the party’s leadership, congratulated Chief Bemgba Iortyom on his appointment and urged all party members and supporters to extend their full cooperation to him as he assumes his new responsibilities.
Chief Iortyom was the immediate past Publicity Secretary of the party, serving from 2016 to 2020 during his first term and from 2020 to 2024 in his second term.
During the eight years, he also served as the National Chairman of the Forum of PDP State Publicity Secretaries, comprising representatives from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
