Nigerian Army Announces Successful Candidates for DSSC 29/2026 Training

The Nigerian Army has instructed all successful applicants of the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 to report for officer cadet training at the Officer Cadet Training Wing, Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji, Kaduna State, starting March 27, 2026.


This announcement, signed by the Army’s Military Secretary, was made public through official Army channels.
The complete list of successful candidates is now available online on the Army’s recruitment portal.
“The Nigerian Army informs the public that those who passed the Direct Short Service Commission 29/2026 Selection Board should report for officer cadet training at the Officer Cadet Training Wing, Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji, Kaduna State, on Friday, 27 March 2026,” the statement said.
Candidates can access the list via the Army’s official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng⁠�.
Items Required for Training
All candidates must bring:
Writing materials
Original academic certificates with passport photographs
Multiple sets of plain white vests and royal-blue shorts
White canvas trainers and tracksuits
Shirts, trousers, and socks
Dark-coloured lounge suit, national dress or suits
Rubber-strapped wristwatch and black cover shoes
Football boots, bed sheets, blanket, and a pressing iron
Additional Items for Female Candidates
Female candidates are additionally required to bring:
One pair of black low-heel cover shoes
Four dark-coloured lounge skirts
Four pairs of black or blue tight shorts
Two pairs of trouser suits
Instructions for Serving Personnel
Serving military personnel must present release letters and official passes from their commanders or commanding officers.
The Army emphasized that candidates who fail to report on the scheduled date will forfeit their positions to those on the reserve list. Reserve candidates are not required to report unless vacancies arise before April 20, 2026.
The DSSC programme provides a pathway for graduates and professionals to join the Nigerian Army as officers, particularly in specialised areas to enhance operational and technical capacity. Applicants for DSSC 29/2026 underwent a rigorous screening and selection process before the final list was released.
