Adeleye Falade has assumed duty as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria LNG Limited.

He officially resumed on Wednesday at the company’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, according to a statement issued by the firm’s management.

Falade succeeds Philip Mshelbila, who was recently appointed Secretary-General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.

Prior to this appointment, Falade served as Managing Director of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, where he oversaw operations in one of the world’s established liquefied natural gas companies.

He brings close to 30 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, having worked across several regions including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa within the Shell group.

Falade has also held strategic roles within NLNG, including General Manager, Production, and Operations Manager, where he contributed to operational efficiency and plant performance.

He is a graduate of the University of Ibadan and holds a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School, University of Reading, United Kingdom.

His appointment comes at a crucial period for NLNG as the company nears completion of its Train 7 expansion project, a development expected to boost output and strengthen Nigeria’s standing in the global LNG market.
