PDP dismisses collapse claims, says party remains united in Nasarawa.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has dismissed reports claiming that members of a faction allegedly loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, have collapsed their structures into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party described the report as fabricated, misleading and false, accusing suspended member Sani Mohammed Keffi of spreading propaganda to gain personal popularity.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Bako Labaran Musa, and made available to journalists, the PDP said Keffi was no longer a member of the party, having been suspended by the national leadership over alleged anti-party activities. It stressed that he lacked the authority to speak for the PDP or issue statements on its behalf.
The state chapter also rejected attempts by Keffi to associate himself with the political structure of the FCT Minister, insisting that he was never part of Nyesom Wike’s political camp in Nasarawa State.
According to the party, the PDP in Nasarawa remains united, has not experienced any division and has no intention of joining the APC. It added that preparations for the 2027 general elections are progressing smoothly, noting that the party has already recognised candidates for the governorship, National Assembly and other elective positions through processes conducted by its national headquarters.
The PDP called on its members and the general public to disregard reports of any collapse of its structure, insisting that only statements issued by the recognised state leadership represent the party’s official position.
The statement further urged the public to be wary of Sani Mohammed Keffi’s alleged anti-party activities, stating that personal ambitions should not be pursued through the misuse of the party’s name. It reiterated that Keffi remains suspended from the PDP in Nasarawa State.
