APC Applauds Tinubu, Alia, Says Performance Speaks Louder Than Propaganda

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia for what it described as purposeful and visionary leadership, saying both administrations have continued to set new standards in governance through bold reforms and people-centred development.

The party said the achievements recorded by the Tinubu and Alia administrations have strengthened public confidence and reinforced support for the APC in Benue State. State APC Chairman, Benjamin Omale, made the remarks in a statement issued on Friday in Makurdi, where he praised the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Alia’s development efforts across the state.
Omale said Governor Alia’s achievements align with the socio-economic and political reforms introduced by President Tinubu, noting that the President’s policies are designed to promote sustainable economic growth, national development, self-reliance and shared prosperity. He listed key reforms to include the removal of fuel subsidy, deregulation of the petroleum sector, decentralisation of the electricity sector, the establishment of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), comprehensive tax reforms, financial autonomy for local governments and the creation of regional development commissions. According to him, these reforms have provided a favourable environment for APC-controlled states, including Benue, to implement policies that directly benefit citizens.
The APC chairman said Governor Alia’s administration has promoted transparency, accountability, fiscal discipline and measurable development through road construction and rehabilitation, completion of modern underpasses, rehabilitation of the Otobi/Otukpo and Katsina-Ala Water Works, improvements in education and healthcare, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and investments in agriculture, food security and youth empowerment. He also highlighted the administration’s efforts in attracting investments through the Benue State International Investment and Economic Summit, strengthening security, supporting internally displaced persons and expanding economic opportunities across the state.
Omale maintained that Governor Alia’s achievements are visible and measurable, insisting that purposeful leadership and good governance will always prevail over propaganda, misinformation and political distractions. He said the APC would not be distracted by what it described as baseless allegations and sponsored propaganda, stressing that governance should be judged by tangible results rather than political rhetoric.
He urged APC members in Benue to remain united, warning that internal divisions and personal ambitions could weaken the party and create opportunities for the opposition. Omale called on members to continue supporting the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Alia in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda, while appealing to the people of Benue to remain patient and steadfast, expressing confidence that history would remember both administrations as governments that chose courage over convenience, reforms over rhetoric, and performance over propaganda.
