APC Convention: Tinubu Warns Against Internal Division, Says Ego Can Destroy Party

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a strong warning to members of the All Progressives Congress, cautioning that internal division, ego and personal ambition could undermine the party’s future.

Addressing delegates at the party’s national convention, Tinubu said political parties often fail not just through electoral defeat but when discipline is eroded and individual interests override collective goals.

“Parties falter when ego overrides ideology,” he said, urging members to prioritise unity and shared purpose.

The President stressed that the APC’s greatest strength lies in its unity rather than its size, calling on party leaders and stakeholders to conduct themselves with integrity throughout the convention.

He further warned that no contest or outcome from the convention should create lasting divisions, insisting that the party must emerge stronger and more cohesive.
