Claim Debunked:FCT Police dismiss viral reports alleging kidney sales in Nyanya and human kidney purchases in Mararaba, Abuja.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed viral social media reports claiming that it confirmed cases of kidney sales involving young people in the Nyanya area of Abuja.

The Command also denied allegations that an agent operating in nearby Mararaba was purchasing human kidneys.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the Police said it had neither received nor verified any report relating to the alleged organ trafficking activities.
The Command stressed that no official statement or communication confirming such claims had emanated from the Police.
It urged residents to disregard the publication and refrain from spreading unverified information capable of causing fear and panic among members of the public.
The Police, however, encouraged anyone with credible information on the alleged activities or any other security concern to report to the nearest police station or contact the Command through its emergency lines.
