Dollar trades at ₦1,400 in Lagos black market as forex rates remain volatile.

The Dollar to Naira exchange rate at the black market, popularly known as the parallel market or Aboki FX, stood at ₦1,400 per dollar for selling and ₦1,392 per dollar for buying on Sunday, June 14, 2026.


According to sources at the Bureau De Change (BDC) in Lagos, traders exchanged the United States dollar at these rates in the parallel market.

For those seeking to exchange foreign currency, the black market rate for the dollar was:
Selling Rate: ₦1,400 per dollar
Buying Rate: ₦1,392 per dollar
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) continues to maintain that it does not recognize the parallel market. The apex bank has advised individuals and businesses requiring foreign exchange transactions to conduct them through authorized financial institutions and commercial banks.
At the official market, the CBN rate for the Dollar to Naira exchange recorded:
Highest Rate: ₦1,365 per dollar
Lowest Rate: ₦1,362 per dollar
However, exchange rates may differ from one location to another, as forex prices are influenced by market conditions and may vary depending on the dealer and transaction volume.
