The Edo State Government has issued a stern warning to land grabbers, encroachers, and speculators over illegal activities on the Lot A parcel of land, popularly known as Coral City, located within the Obagie Acquisition area in Benin City.

This was contained in a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Fred Itua, and made available to journalists.

According to the statement, the warning serves as the final notice to all individuals involved in the unlawful sale, purchase, or development of land in the designated area. The government emphasized that the entire Obagie Acquisition remains its property.

However, it noted that plans are ongoing to return Lots B, C, and D to their rightful owners and occupants in fulfillment of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration’s commitment to regularize properties on government-acquired lands and restore ownership to the original landholders.

The government further cautioned that any illegal structures on Lot A (Coral City) will be demolished and those responsible will face prosecution. It reiterated that severe consequences await anyone found engaging in land-grabbing or encroachment activities on government lands across the state.
