Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Celebrates Women on International Women’s Day

Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2 in the National Assembly, has extended warm wishes to women in Lagos and across the world in celebration of International Women’s Day.

In his message, Onuakalusi praised the resilience, strength, and contributions of women in various sectors of society, acknowledging their vital role in shaping the economy, politics, and communities.

“From the mothers who nurture and care for their families, to the entrepreneurs who drive innovation and growth, to the leaders who fight for justice and equality – women are the backbone of our communities,” he stated.

Reaffirming his commitment to gender equality, Onuakalusi pledged to advocate for policies that empower women and protect their rights. He emphasized that when given the right opportunities, women can achieve greatness and uplift families, communities, and the nation as a whole.

“As your representative in the National Assembly, I am committed to advocating for policies and programs that promote gender equality, empower women, and protect their rights,” he assured.

The lawmaker also called for renewed dedication to the fight for gender equality, urging society to honor the contributions of past female trailblazers while supporting women shaping the future.
