The Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Isah Jibrin (Echocho), has again extended financial assistance to widows and other vulnerable individuals to help strengthen and expand their small businesses.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media, Mikail Ibrahim, and obtained by Capital Post, the lawmaker of the 10th Senate reaffirmed his commitment to the socio-economic development of the Kogi East people. He emphasized that effective leadership and representation should deliver real and measurable benefits to the populace.
According to the Senator, “Genuine representation is not assessed by mere words, but by meaningful actions that positively change lives.”
He encouraged beneficiaries—especially young people—to uphold hard work, discipline, and integrity, while urging widows to remain steadfast and channel the support judiciously towards improving their livelihoods.
Senator Echocho noted that such intervention initiatives play a vital role in mitigating economic challenges and promoting self-reliance among vulnerable segments of society.
He further assured his constituents of his continued push for inclusive development policies at the federal level, with a focus on social welfare, economic empowerment, and community development, pledging that his office would sustain programmes aimed at uplifting and empowering the people of Kogi East.
