Kunchi Rallies Adamawa Youths, Vows Strong Support for Caleb and Jonathan
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader in Adamawa State, Alhaji Abubakar Kunchi, has announced plans for an extensive grassroots-to-metropolitan mobilization campaign aimed at securing victory for Chief Caleb Andrew Myebangara FCA JP (Shettiman Batta) as Governor of Adamawa State and Dr.
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as President of Nigeria in the 2027 general elections.Kunchi, a respected youth mobilizer known for his calm disposition but significant political influence, made the declaration during a consultative meeting with stakeholders and supporters on strategies to advance the agenda.
He pledged to deploy his resources and wide-reaching networks to ensure that Adamawa State delivers overwhelming support for the former President and the PDP governorship candidate.
“My concern is to see that Chief Caleb becomes Governor of Adamawa State and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan becomes President,” Kunchi stated. “I am ready to commit my resources, connections, and energy to achieve this.”
Widely regarded as a key figure in youth-driven political engagement, Kunchi, also known as Sarkin Yaki, has remained active in mobilizing young people across the state.
He currently heads an extensive network of youth coalitions and support groups spread across all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State, with a strong presence in the state capital and surrounding communities.
Sources close to the movement disclosed that Kunchi’s mobilization strategy will focus on door-to-door campaigns, digital engagement, and community-based programmes aimed at attracting young voters and first-time participants in the electoral process.
His commitment to delivering Adamawa State for Jonathan is being viewed as a strategic effort to strengthen the PDP’s position ahead of the 2027 national elections.
Party stakeholders have described Kunchi’s pledge as a strong signal of unity within the party and evidence of growing grassroots preparedness for the forthcoming electoral contest.
