The Founder of a Non Governmental Organization, MKO Temitope Foundation, Dr Timule Temitope has called for support for children with special needs towards realizing their dreams in life.

Dr.

Tinuke Temitope made the call in Abuja during the launch of the Foundation and unveiling of a book titled “The light we called Michael :A journey through faith and love”.

She also called for measures that would encourage caregivers in the discharge of their duties.

“Today, we are not just gathered for a launch.
We are gathered for love.
For memory.
For legacy” She said

“Almost six months ago, a beautiful light returned to its Maker.
Mitcheal Temitope—a son, a gift, a teacher in ways many of us may never fully understand.
For 14 years, Mitcheal lived a life that, to the world, may have seemed defined by challenges. But to those who truly knew him… his life told a completely different story.
A story of strength in stillness.
A story of courage without words.
A story of love that did not need to speak to be felt”.

“In the quiet moments—through every smile, every touch, every single day—Mitcheal was teaching patience,Teaching resilience. Teaching a kind of love that is selfless, sacrificial, and deeply pure.
And if we are honest, it takes a special kind of family… a special kind of strength… to walk that journey”.

“To the Temitopes family—yours has been a journey of faith when answers were not clear… of hope when days were heavy… and of love that never wavered, not even for a moment.
You did not just care for Mitcheal.
You honoured him.
You celebrated him.
You loved him completely.
And today… that love has refused to end.
Instead, it has grown.
It has stretched beyond one life… into many lives.
Because what we are witnessing here today is something powerful—
the transformation of deep pain into purposeful impact.
The birth of the Mitcheal Kehinde Oluwadarasimi (MKO) Temitope Foundation for Special Needs and Caregivers is more than a project.
It is a promise.
A promise that no family walking this path will feel alone”.

“A promise that caregivers—often unseen, often unheard—will be supported, valued, and strengthened.
A promise that children with special needs will be embraced, not overlooked.
This foundation is Mitcheal’s light… continuing to shine.
And as we unveil the book, “The Light We Called Mitcheal: A Journey of Faith, Courage, and Love through Cerebral Palsy,”.

“Within those pages lies more than a story.
There are tears… there is faith… there are moments of doubt… and moments of unwavering hope.
But above all, there is love.
A love so powerful that even death could not silence it.
Mitcheal may no longer be physically present…
but his life is speaking louder now than ever before.
Through this foundation…
Through this book…
Through every life that will be touched from this day forward.
And so today, we are not just remembering him”.

In her words ” We are continuing him.
To everyone here, your presence matters more than you may realize.
Because showing up means you believe in this vision.
It means you are standing in solidarity with families whose journeys are often hidden.
It means you are choosing compassion.
Let this not be the end of our support—but the beginning”.

“Let us carry this story beyond this room.
Let us be advocates.
Let us be voices.
Let us be hands that lift others.
Because somewhere out there… there is another child like Mitcheal.
Another family holding on as another caregiver in need of strength.
And through this foundation, they will find hope” She added
