Mrs. Naomi Olapetan Adelabu Receives Honorary Doctor of Ministry Award, Dedicates It to God and Family

The former Director of the Social Ministries Department of the FCT Baptist Conference and wife of a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Mrs. Naomi Olapetan Adelabu, has been conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Ministry Award.

The award was presented to her by the Interdenominational Centre for Theological Training, Missionsville International Theological Seminary, Abuja, during its 9th Graduation and Ordination Ceremony.

Presenting the honour on behalf of the Centre, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Ayikoye said the recognition was a testament to Mrs. Adelabu’s dedicated service to God and humanity.

According to him, the Centre had closely observed her humanitarian efforts and social ministry engagements over the years, which necessitated the conferment of the Doctor of Ministry Award.

He expressed confidence that the recognition would further inspire her to impact the lives of the less privileged within and outside her community while advancing the work of God’s kingdom.

Rt. Rev. Prof. Ayikoye also urged Christians and other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate Mrs. Adelabu’s example in supporting the needy and encouraging unbelievers to embrace Christ.

In her response, Mrs. Naomi Olapetan Adelabu thanked the Centre for the honour, pledging to remain committed to the welfare of the less privileged and the spread of the gospel.

She emphasized the importance of wealthy Christians directing their resources toward uplifting society and improving the lives of the underprivileged.

While dedicating the award to God and her family, Mrs. Adelabu noted that the recognition would further strengthen her resolve in social ministries within God’s vineyard.
