NASC TO RELOCATE TO OFFICE COMPLEX FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER ….ENYIEKERE

Here,Dr Enyiekere, Honourable Commissioners, Secretary and staff of the Commission, are being conducted around the project by officials of the Construction Company

Barring last-minute hitches, the National Assembly Service Commission will relocate to its office building located at the National Assembly Complex by the first week of November this year.

This is contained in a statement by the commission’s Deputy Director, Information, Emmanuel N Anyigor and made available to journalists in Abuja.

The statement said that the he Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Chief Dr. Saviour Enyiekere dropped this hint during an inspection visit to the project site . This was the first official visit of the 6th NASC to the site.
The statement reads:
“The Executive Chairman had led Honourable Commissioners and Management to assess the progress of work at the project site. He expressed joy and satisfaction with the pace of work by the project contractors; commending the quality of work done so far.
He enthused, “With this pace and high quality of work , I’m optimistic that we will pack into this building as early as the first week of November this year.”

“Conducting Dr Enyiekere and his team around the four-storey edifice, Managing Director of the Construction Company, Strabic Construction Ltd, Mr. Lekan Adebiyi and the Project Director, Arch. Ademo Adewale, who led the team to different segments of the state-of-the-art facility, which is at about 85 per cent completion stage, explained that the building would be delivered to the Commission latest by October., this year”

“The stete-of-the-art edifice comprises office spaces for the Executive Chairman, Honourable Commissioners, Management, and Staff of the Commission, 150-capacity suspended auditorium, underground car park, health facility, recreational area, and prayer rooms”
“The Chairman urged the committee overseeing the project to expedite efforts to meet the November timeline”

“The NASC Office Project was initiated by the Engr Ahmed Aliyu Dogondaji”s 3rd NASC but couldn’t take off until the 5th NASC started the construction and took the project to about 80 per cent completion stage”
“When completed, the complex will not only provide conducive office accommodation for Members,Management and staff of the Commission, but it would also save millions of Naira paid annually for rent by the Commission”
