NNPC Limited reports N481 billion profit after tax and N4.97 trillion revenue in April, driven by increased crude oil production and ongoing energy sector investments.

Nigeria’s national oil company, NNPC Limited, recorded substantial growth across its key financial and production indicators in April 2026, according to its latest Monthly Report Summary.


The report showed that the company generated revenue of N4.
971 trillion during the month, representing a 79.
23 per cent increase compared to the figure recorded in March. Profit After Tax (PAT) also rose significantly to N481 billion, reflecting a 74.28 per cent month-on-month increase.
NNPC further disclosed that its cumulative statutory remittances between January and April 2026 amounted to N3.714 trillion.
The report revealed that crude oil and condensate production increased to 1.68 million barrels per day (mbpd), marking an approximate 7.69 per cent rise from the production level achieved in March 2026.
Gas production remained relatively stable during the period, averaging 7,730 million standard cubic feet per day (mscf/d), compared with 7,731 mscf/d recorded in March.
On the infrastructure front, NNPC announced the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing project, describing it as a major achievement in Nigeria’s gas transmission network.
The company also reported continued progress on the construction and installation of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline mainline. NNPC said it is targeting the commencement of gas supply to Abuja before the end of 2026.
The AKK Gas Pipeline, regarded as one of Nigeria’s most significant energy infrastructure projects, is expected to enhance natural gas availability across the North-Central and Northern regions upon completion.
NNPC Limited noted that the report highlights several strategic initiatives undertaken during the review period as part of efforts to strengthen operations and support the nation’s energy development goals.
