Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates have renewed efforts to strengthen bilateral energy cooperation following a high-level meeting held in Abuja.
The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, met with the UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Al Shamsi, at the UAE Embassy.

During the meeting, both parties explored ways to expand collaboration across the energy value chain.
Key discussions centred on upstream oil and gas investments, gas development and monetisation, crude oil trading, and infrastructure financing, highlighting the growing and dynamic energy partnership between both nations.
Ojulari noted that NNPC Ltd., as a commercially driven entity, presents a range of viable projects and remains open to strategic, value-driven partnerships with major UAE institutions, including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and National Petroleum Construction Company.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustained cooperation, anchored on mutual respect and a shared objective of long-term energy development.
The meeting builds on earlier commitments by Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to deepen bilateral relations and translate diplomatic engagements into tangible, mutually beneficial projects.
