Reform Focus: HCSF Urges Mid-Level Officers to Drive Civil Service Reforms
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, has charged officers on Grade Levels 8 to 14 to take ownership of ongoing Civil Service reforms and contribute to improved service delivery.
Mr Abel gave the charge during an engagement with the officers in Abuja, where he described them as key drivers of the Civil Service and critical to translating government policies and reforms into tangible results.
The HCSF stressed the need for continuous learning and self-development, urging the officers to develop mastery in their areas of responsibility and remain committed to professional excellence.
He encouraged them to ask questions, seek knowledge and remain open to learning, noting that a knowledgeable workforce is better positioned to make sound decisions, solve problems and deliver quality results.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Common Services Office, Dr Danjuma Usman Kalba, commended the HCSF for the engagement, saying the direct interaction demonstrated the leadership’s commitment to listening to staff and building a stronger and more effective Civil Service.
The session also provided an opportunity for the officers to raise concerns, exchange ideas and make suggestions on issues affecting their work, professional growth and welfare.
