Road Safety Officers Wives seek collaboration on Safer Road during Ember months

The Road Safety Officers Wives Association, ROSOWA, is to commence a nationwide campaign towards achieving zero per cent road accidents during the Ember Months.

National President of ROSOWA, Dr Nafisat Shehu Mohammed stated this when she led other members of the association on a visit to the National Trauma Center and Emergency Unit at the National Hospital Abuja as part of activities to mark this year’s World Remembrance Day of Road Traffic Crashes Victims with the theme ” That day, Remember Support and Act ”

Dr Nafisat Shehu Mohammed stressed the need for more collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps in its quest to enthrench road safety culture in drivers and passengers.

She sympathized with the Victims and families of those who lost their lives in road accidents, calling on stakeholders in the transport sector to give maximum support for effective traffic management in the country.

Representatives of the United Nations Decade of Action on Injury Prevention, Dr Yusuf Suberu said the visit by ROSOWA would bring succour to Victims of road accidents currently at the National Hospital Abuja.

An Assistant Director at the National Hospital, Mr Adamu Mohammed, who led ROSOWA members around the facility, said the management of the hospital would continue to give special attention to the victims of road accidents.

He commended ROSOWA for supporting victims of road accidents currently receiving treatment at the National Trauma Centre and Emergency Unit.

National President of the Road Safety Officers Wives Association, Dr Nafisat Shehu Mohammed, presented cash gifts, wheel chairs, clutches, Stretchers sanitary pads among others to Victims of road accidents at the National Hospital Abuja.
