Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
Good morning! Today, I want to speak to your hearts about something very dear to my heart, though looks simple, yet sacred. It is about our songs Liturgy. You can call the musical liturgical ministrations. It is the oil that lubricates the transition of our physical into the spiritual for a seemless communion between human and divinity.

Every Sunday, we gather here to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, to give thanks to God who gives us life, love, and salvation. Part of that thanksgiving is song, animated by the choir.
It’s not just decoration for the liturgy, it is the Liturgy itself.

Our singing is prayer. Our voices are instruments of praise and should be used effectively, actively not passively.

Let’s be honest, we come to church and we fold our arms, mopping into empty space, rolling our eyes, counting the number of cobwebs on the ceiling, while the choir sings.

Hymns are entoned and we stay muted, chewing gum most times, distracted with our phone or engage in pockets of trivial conversations in low breath.

Maybe we think our voices aren’t good enough, or maybe we’ve forgotten that we’re not here to be spectators but active worshipers of God using out voices.

When the Psalmist says: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; come before His presence with singing!” (Psalm 100) He didn’t say “Make a perfect sound.”It says, “Make a joyful noise.” God isn’t grading anyone on key or pitch.
He only listens to the sound of our heart not the meliferous sounds of our voices.

Whenever one opens ones mouth in song, one is saying, “Lord, I’m here. I’m alive. I believe.”When the whole congregation lifts its voice, heaven leans in and listens.

Paul and Silas in prison didn’t have instruments or microphones, they sang, and the walls of the prison shook. Praise has power!
When we sing, chains are broken — inside us and around us.

So today, Church, I’m calling you to sing with your whole hearts. Don’t hum or mute.

Let your song rise like incense before God. Let it fill this house with joy.Sing when you’re happy — to thank Him.
Sing when you’re hurting — to trust Him.
Sing when you don’t know the way — to find your faith again.

Because a singing Church is a living Church. And when the people of God lift their voices together, grace flows, hearts open, and Christ is truly among us.

Next time you are in church and the entrance hymn begins,
don’t stand silent.Don’t hum behind your mask of comfort.
Let heaven hear you!
Let this be your offering of love and gratitude.

Sing! Don’t hum or mute!
Because the One who gave you your voice deserves to hear it.
