Weather Forcast : FRSC Boss Harps On Precautionary Measures For Safety
By our Reporter
Ahead of the weather forecast of heavy rainfall as the season progresses, the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps Mallam, Shehu Mohammed has called on drivers to ensure that they imbibe precautionary measures while transiting from one destination to another.
According to the Corps Marshal in Abuja, driving in the rain can be risky as the visibility is reduced and there are usually hazardous and slippery conditions on the road.
He therefore appealed to motorists to always ascertain that the windows and windshields are clean, ensure routine check of the headlights, brake lights, turn signals and tail lights.

He argued that a situation where Drivers use towels to improvise for wiper while on transit is not acceptable.
The Corps Marshal has, therefore, directed commanding officers across the country to take the duties of traffic calming, increased public enlightenment, and improved enforcement of wipers and tyres during this season as a major priority.
He enjoined drivers that can not drive under special weather conditions to stay off the road for their safety and that of other road users.
