WIKE APPEALS FOR PEACE, OPENS DOOR TO DIALOGUE
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Dr. Nyesom Wike, has appealed to workers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, to reconsider their actions and allow peace to prevail, assuring that his administration remains open to dialogue.
Dr. Wike made the appeal during an engagement with stakeholders in Abuja, where he cautioned against intimidation and the politicisation of labour issues, stressing that dialogue remains the most effective way to resolve disputes.
While admitting that litigation is not the best approach to addressing industrial disagreements, the FCT Minister explained that the government was compelled to take legal steps in some instances to prevent what he described as the hijacking of the process.
Dr. Wike, however, accused some political opponents of exploiting the situation to undermine the administration, insisting that such tactics would not be tolerated.
