The Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), Chief Saviour Enyiekere, has extended warm greetings to workers of the Commission, describing them as the engine room of Nigeria’s democratic growth.

“Your mandate is the sinew and spine upon which the strength and stability of our National Legislature depends,” he stated.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs of the Commission, E. N. Anyigor.
Dr. Enyiekere expressed his appreciation for the immense contributions of legislative workers in a message marking this year’s May Day/Workers’ Day celebration in Abuja.
He commended their dedication, resilience, and invaluable role in advancing Nigeria’s democratic development, noting that legislative staff provide essential support services that ensure the effective functioning of the National Assembly.
According to him, the role of workers within the legislature remains indispensable, as their professionalism and hard work sustain the operations of one of the nation’s most critical democratic institutions.
The NASC Chairman assured staff of the Commission’s commitment to improving their welfare, enhancing career development opportunities, and creating a more conducive working environment.
He added that steps are already being taken to implement reforms and policies aimed at boosting staff wellbeing, productivity, and morale.
Dr. Enyiekere urged workers to remain steadfast, diligent, and committed to excellence, assuring them that their sacrifices and contributions would continue to be recognized and rewarded.
He also reaffirmed the Commission’s resolve to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure better prospects for legislative workers across the country.
“Your dedication to duty is highly appreciated. The Commission is committed to ensuring improved welfare and a brighter future for all staff,” he said.
This marks Dr. Enyiekere’s first Workers’ Day message to legislative staff since the inauguration of the 6th National Assembly Service Commission on May 5, 2025.
