Pastor Babagbemi Joseph Adejola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives aspirant for Yagba Federal Constituency, has congratulated Nigerian workers on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration, describing them as the “driving force of national development.

In a statement issued on Friday, Adejola commended the resilience, dedication, and sacrifices of workers across all sectors of the Nigerian economy, noting that their contributions remain indispensable to nation-building despite prevailing economic challenges.

He said Workers’ Day offers an opportunity to reflect on the dignity of labour and to renew commitment towards improving working conditions, fair remuneration, and job security for the Nigerian workforce.

Adejola particularly praised workers in education, healthcare, civil service, security agencies, and the private sector, saying their commitment continues to sustain governance and economic stability at various levels.

According to him, “No nation can rise above the commitment of its workforce. Nigerian workers have consistently demonstrated strength, patience, and patriotism even in difficult times. They deserve policies and leadership that truly prioritise their welfare and productivity.”

The APC aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to advancing legislative initiatives that would promote youth employment, skills acquisition, improved labour standards, and economic empowerment within Yagba Federal Constituency and beyond, if elected to the House of Representatives.

He wished Nigerian workers a peaceful and rewarding Workers’ Day celebration.
