As the 2027 general election gather momentum, Gade sons and daughters across the country have been advised to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) to avoid being disenfranchised during the elections.

The Vice President General of the Gade Development and Cultural Association (GADECA), Chief Sir Ronald Sabo Goje Gupuda, JP, made the call while speaking with newsmen in Abuja.

He also urged them to participate actively in next year’s elections to enable Gade sons and daughters to contribute to good governance wherever they reside across the country.

“As you all know, this is election’s season where all patriotic Nigerians, including Gade sons and daughters nationwide, are expected to effectively participate towards ensuring the emergence of good and credible leaders come 2027.

As an Association, we have been sensitising our members across the country on the need to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, to enable them vote and be voted for during next year’s general election because the journey of ensuring good governance in the country begins with the election of competent and credible leaders,” he stated.

In his words, “Our aims and objectives in GADECA as an Association are, among other things, to foster unity among Gade people.

Number two is to educate them on their rights and to be law-abiding citizens of Nigeria, as well as to participate in policies and programmes at all levels. Hence, the need for them to continue to be good ambassadors of GADECA wherever they find themselves,” he explained.

According to him, GADECA, through partnerships with notable sons and daughters of Gade, has been offering scholarships to the children of its members to enable them to acquire formal education, since education is known to be the bedrock of development.

He therefore advised Gade parents to always prioritise the educational development of their children to secure their future, make them self-reliant and empower them effectively.

Chief Goje Gupuda stressed the need for leaders at all levels to consistently sensitise their followers on ways to contribute their quota towards repositioning Nigeria for greatness.

“As leaders, we also have a great role to play in repositioning our country for better.

Therefore, we need to be at the forefront of educating our followers on how to be good citizens through patriotism, while those of us in positions of leadership and authority should also learn to lead well if we want things to change for the better,” he added.
