Pastor Jerry Eze, founder and lead pastor of Streams of Joy International, has clarified that his ministry is rooted in divine calling, not personal ambition or professional gain. Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the popular preacher emphasized that his role in ministry is a spiritual assignment, not a career path.

“I am not a professional pastor,” Eze stated firmly. “The day I become one, may God take me. The moment it becomes about me and not God, may everything come to an end.”

Eze expressed genuine humility regarding his rising influence, admitting that his current level of prominence was never part of his personal plans. He said his only focus has always been to fulfill God’s purpose for his life, not to seek fame or recognition.

“This wasn’t something I mapped out, thinking I’d become well-known,” he said. “I know my calling, and I’m fully consumed by it.”

He also highlighted the emotional reward he receives from ministering, pointing to the joy and transformation he witnesses in the lives of his congregation as his greatest motivation.
