The Price Of Being A Pro. Chancellor

We all have price tags and soft spots that would bring out ones vulnerability when the chips are done. Nobody is without a tickling spot however a sadist.

There is always things that would trigger the lowering of ones moral and ethical standards, our achilles heel that brings out our human weakness, showing who we are truely beyond the facade of the image of moral and ethical gatekeeper we project.

He has been a voice, a very powerful one, redirecting erring governments to the path of honor, integrity and value. A voice of conscience, re-echoing the very principles that would make nation great, fostering citizen patriotism, religious tolerance and healthy political culture.

For decades still counting not until recently, his voice has been that golden in reasoning and condemning impunity, rascality, victimisation, bigotry and religious killings. Very consistent, weaving his condemnations with facts and figures very irrefutable.

We all cried when the national cake was served him in the golden pot of Pro. Chancellor from the hidden chamber of the President. We saw the unscripted sign of a Greek gift and shouted in disapproval. Such gift does come without muzzling vocal mouths and narcotizing the sensitivity and sensibility of robust conscience.

His utterances recently on Christains being free from victimisation is a clear sign that the narcotic substance of such Greek gift is working.

I pray he doesn’t lose track of his mission as the voice of the voiceless. I pray the hook from the Greek gift doesn’t give his golden voice of impeccable sounds of truth, fairness, justice and equity a dissonance that would dent and make a terrible joke of his years of being the gatekeeper and conscience of our society through active and punchy spoken and literary engagement.

Let not this transient Greek gift be that small hole that would sink his ship of integrity, values and shared vision of justice and equity built over the years into a disgraceful and shameful ocean.

May God Help him. Amen!
