Former Governor of Sokoto State and Distinguished Senator, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has called on Nigerians to rally behind the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) commenced its electronic registration exercise in Sokoto State.

The e-registration exercise, which took place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Hall in Sokoto, was officially flagged off with Senator Wamakko being registered as the first party member. He was followed by other top party leaders, including the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Idris Muhammad Gobir, as well as ministers and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Senator Wamakko commended President Tinubu’s efforts aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable development. He expressed confidence in the President’s vision, noting, “I know what he intends for the good people of this great nation.” He therefore urged Nigerians to support the President’s policies and programmes in the interest of national growth and progress.
In his remarks, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, appealed to party members across the state to participate promptly in the exercise, stressing that the e-registration would be carried out across all the 23 local government areas of Sokoto State.
Several prominent APC figures were in attendance, including the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi; the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo; and Ambassador-designate, Dr. Kulu Haruna Abubakar.
