Mohammed Kassim of PDP Emerges Winner in Gwagwalada Area Council

Mohammed Kassim of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the winner of the Chairmanship election in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
Announcing the result in Gwagwalada, Abuja, the Returning Officer, Prof. Philip Akpen of the University of Abuja, stated that Mohammed Kassim secured 22,165 votes to defeat his closest rival, Usman Yahaya of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 17,788 votes.
