CG VGN Congratulates New IGP, Promises Support To Enable Him Succeed

As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu this Wednesday officially sworn in Olatunji Disu as the 23rd Inspector General of Police, the Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, Dr. Usman Mohammed Jahun has congratulated him on his well deserved appointment.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on the IGP appointment, Dr.

Usman Jahun described Olatunji Disu as a professional and fine Police Officer that would contribute his quota towards repositioning the Nigeria Police Force for optimal performance.

He therefore expressed VGN support to the new IGP towards actualizing his plans of action in office.

According to him, VGN has over the years been supporting the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force through local intelligence gathering in line with international best practices in combating insecurity in the country.

The Commander General of VGN also emphasized the need for all stakeholders to support the new IGP towards protecting lives and property in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration in the area of security for Nigerians.

The new Inspector-General of Police is a seasoned officer with extensive experience in intelligence and operational policing.

Until his elevation, Disu was heading the Force Criminal Investigation Department FCID
Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.

Olatunji Disu who previously served as Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, where he coordinated security operations across Abuja and strengthened intelligence-led policing, also headed the Police Intelligence Response Team IRT, leading several high-profile investigations and operations.
