Senator Aduda Resigns from PDP Over Internal Crisis

Senator Phillip Aduda ,a chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP,in the Federal Capital Territory,has officially resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), citing what he described as an ongoing internal crisis.


In a resignation letter dated March 17, 2026, and addressed to the PDP Chairman of Karu Ward in Abuja, Senator Aduda announced his decision to leave the party with immediate effect.

He expressed appreciation to the party for the opportunities it provided him during his political career, noting that he is grateful for the chance to serve in various elective positions in the country.
Senator Philip Aduda served as senator representing the FCT across the 7th, 8th, and 9th National Assemblies from 2011 to 2023, making him one of the prominent political figures in the territory under the PDP platform.
The PDP leadership is yet to issue an official response to the development.
