In a statement issued in Abuja, Ike described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, self-discipline, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to the service of humanity.

She commended Muslim faithful for their dedication throughout the fasting period, noting that the values of patience, tolerance, compassion, and generosity demonstrated during Ramadan are vital for fostering peaceful coexistence and social harmony.

The NUJ chairman urged Muslim journalists and the wider community to sustain these virtues beyond the festive period, emphasizing their importance in strengthening unity and advancing national development.
