Lobi Stars FC Chairman, Ikya fetes Christians, preaches hope, unity @Easter …As Club celebrates his birthday

The Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club, Simon Ikya, on behalf of the Management, Staff, and Players, has extended warm Easter felicitations to all Christians on the 2026 Easter celebration urging them to have hope in God and live in unity with one another.

Ikya, in a statement signed by the Director of Media and Communication, Emmanuel Uja, felicitates with the Governor of Benue State and foremost supporter of the club, Rev.

Fr. Hyacinth Alia, his Deputy, Dr. Sam Ode, the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Alfred Emberga, the Christian faithful, and the vibrant football community across Benue State, as well as Lobi Stars supporters around the globe.

The club chairman, in a goodwill message, noted that Easter represents the ultimate triumph, where sacrifice culminates in victory, much like the defining moments in football where discipline and belief deliver glory at the final whistle.

He emphasized that the season calls for deep reflection on the priceless gift of redemption, urging all to draw strength from its enduring message of hope, renewal, and purposeful living.

While wishing all Christians a fulfilling and joyous celebration, Mr. Ikya expressed firm optimism that the spirit of

In a related development, the management, staff, and players of Lobi Stars Football Club has felicitated with their Chairman, Simon Terver Ikya, on the occasion of his birthday.

The club noted that Mr Ikya’s stewardship has recalibrated the club’s direction, instilling unity as the team’s core shape, discipline and decorum as its guiding principles, and a culture of promptness and industry that now defines both officials and players.

A statement signed by the Principal Media Officer, Lobi Stars Football Club, Austin Tyowua said “Under his watch, every unit has found its rhythm, functioning with clarity and cohesion like a well-drilled side executing a perfect game plan.

“With the leadership of Ikya, and the valued support of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Lobi Stars returned to Makurdi after years on the road.

“By ensuring the McCarthy Stadium met minimum approval standards for league games, the Chairman restored the club’s home ground, where three matches produced three victories, a flawless run that propelled the team from fifth position to a strong second-place finish, just three points behind the leaders.
