JAMB Clarifies “No Result Yet” Status for Underage UTME Candidates
The Board has continued to receive several inquiries from parents concerning candidates whose results are currently indicated as “No Result Yet.”
Parents are hereby informed that results of underage candidates have not been released.
According to existing regulations, only candidates who will attain the age of 16 years on or before 30th September 2026 are qualified to register for and sit the UTME. Nonetheless, underage candidates may be considered under an exceptional category if they exhibit outstanding academic ability by scoring 320 and above in the UTME, as well as achieving a minimum of 80 percent in subsequent screening stages.
In line with the agreement reached and approved by parents of the underage candidates, only those who score 320 and above will be shortlisted and invited to proceed to the next phase of screening. Candidates who are successful at that stage may then be considered for admission under the exceptional candidates category.
For the time being, results of underage candidates remain withheld.
