The Truth about A Believer’s Story

Published

on

The story of every believer is cast in many moulds. Each of such moulds has a way of either revealing the mind of God towards someone, creating hope for a future yet unseen or affirming and witnessing with assurance that God has answered even when it looks very vague and unperceived.

These three names no serious Christian should ever contemplate leaving.

The bond should be air tight and the affection that exists between them one that should defy human imagination.

Life as a Christian would definitely introduce one to many people. Some stayed for a season. Some left without notice. Some arrived with promises and departed with disappointment.

But there are three persons life would introduce to you, leaving them would be very difficult no matter how one tries.

In your Christian walk have you ever met Chizalum? I met her during the darkest season of my life.
Those moments days were long, nights very longer. Those days
my prayers seemed trapped between earth and heaven.
I cried. I waited.
I doubted. I questioned.
I wondered if God had forgotten my address.
Then Chizalum appeared. Quietly.
Without fanfare. Without noise.
Yet everything changed.
She came around, whispered the same words into my weary soul: “God has heard you.”Not that He will hear. Not that He might hear. But that He has heard. Suddenly my burdens became lighter.
My fears became smaller.

My faith stood taller. Just when I became comfortable with Chizalum, Nkiru walked in, difficult to understand.

Whenever I thought I had reached my destination, Nkiru would point beyond the horizon. Whenever I celebrated an achievement, she smiled and said, “There is more.”Whenever disappointment came knocking, she sat beside me and whispered,
“The best is yet to come.”

Many people abandoned their dreams because they never met Nkiru. Many buried their visions because they stopped believing tomorrow could be better than today.
But Nkiru taught me endurance. She taught me patience.

She taught me to see possibility where others saw limitation.
She taught me that God’s chapter is always greater than man’s conclusion.

Me being Uchechukwu, reaffirmed the assurance of being in the will of God , giving hope that he would answer ( Chizalum,) Building in me the confidence and firm assurance that the future is brighter( Nkiruka) I live a life assured and insured in the glory and provision of God.

Of the three, Uchechukwu was the hardest to love. Rarely would Uchechukwu agrees with my Uche ( my thoughts)

Whenever I had a plan, Uchechukwu had another.
Whenever I chose a direction, Uchechukwu pointed elsewhere , whenever I insisted, Uchechukwu would resist it. Uchechukwu understands my ways, my challenges and future more than I do.

At first I fought Uchechukwu
I argued with him
I tried to prove that my Uche was superior.
But experience became my teacher.

The roads I chose without Uchechukwu often ended in regret. The battles I fought without him often ends in wounds.

The decisions I made without him.often ends in lessons. Eventually I surrendered.
I stopped asking God to bless my plans.
I began asking Him to reveal His Uche to me.

That was the day peace arrived. For there is a rest that comes when a man no longer carries the burden of being his own god.

Today people ask me the secret behind my resilience. They ask why I pray with confidence.
Why I face tomorrow with hope even when it seems hopeless.
Why I remain calm when life refuses to cooperate with my expectations.
The answer is simple.
I walk with three personalities
Chizalum.
Nkiru and Uchechukwu.

Chizalum reminds me that God answers.
Nkiru reminds me that the best is yet to come.
Uchechukwu reminds me that God’s thoughts are higher than mine and His will , will always be there for me, which of course is far better than what my desires and wishes would ever be.

In ones Christian walk, one should have the testimony of Chizalum The hope of Nkiruka and the assurance of Uchechukwu. With these three persons, ones Christian walk though rough and unstable would have a glorious end.
