Reverend Kalu Ukpai Ota, a respected cleric from Abia State, has declared support for the return of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to the Senate in 2027, saying the people of Abia North are eager for him to continue his legislative service.

Speaking with journalists over the weekend, Rev. Ota described Senator Kalu as a man of peace with a proven record in the National Assembly and a steady commitment to human development both in Abia State and across Nigeria.

“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has the experience, the reach, and the results to show. His tenure in the Senate has brought visible benefits to Abia North. The people want him back because they know his worth,” Rev. Ota said.

The cleric also commended Kalu’s statesmanship, noting that he has consistently avoided political conflicts with other elected officials in the state.

“He is not fighting anyone. He is focused on development and unity, which is what Abia needs at this time,” he added.

Rev. Ota further cautioned against supporting aspirants who might create division or undermine progress in the state.

“It is better to have Kalu. He will not fight or work against the state’s progress. We must avoid empowering anyone who would use that platform to create division and tension. Abia needs peace and stability,” he advised.

He, therefore, called on well-meaning Abians to support Senator Kalu for continuity, experience, and effective representation at the federal level.
