Anglican Primate Calls for Practical Measures to Address Insecurity
Rewritten Story (Original Meaning Fully Preserved):
Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has urged security agencies to adopt more proactive strategies in tackling insecurity, following President Tinubu’s recent declaration of a state of emergency on national security.
Speaking during the annual Abuja Anglican Diocesan Carnival for Christ, Most Reverend Ndukuba commended the President’s efforts aimed at curbing the rising insecurity across the country.
He emphasized that security agencies must prioritize recruiting the right personnel and ensure proper deployment to high-risk areas, equipped with the necessary logistics to function effectively.
The Primate condemned the recent spate of killings, including the murder of a Kaduna Anglican priest, and called on security operatives to intensify efforts toward securing the release of innocent Nigerians currently held by kidnappers.
He also cautioned Christians against embarking on unnecessary journeys during the Christmas season in light of the prevailing security challenges.
Most Reverend Ndukuba further advised Christians to be prudent with their spending during the festive period to avoid financial strain in early 2026.
He appealed to wealthy Nigerians to support the less privileged and bring relief to the downtrodden in society.

Addressing the Carnival theme, “Break Up Your Fallow Ground,” the Primate encouraged Nigerians to look inward and harness available, godly opportunities for personal and national development.
According to him, the country is blessed with numerous untapped resources capable of transforming individuals and the nation at large.
The 2025 Carnival for Christ brought together Anglican faithful from the eight Archdeaconries of the Abuja Diocese, and the event also featured a free medical outreach.
