ANGLICAN PRIMATE TASKS POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS ON SACRIFICIAL LEADERSHIP
The Primate of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has called on leaders to make sacrifices and pay special attention to the welfare of their followers.
Addressing the congregation after the Washing of the Feet service at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life Camp, Abuja, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba urged political office holders to emulate the leadership style of Jesus Christ and serve the citizens selflessly.
He decried the situation where political office holders place personal ambition above delivering the dividends of democracy to the citizenry.

The Anglican Primate reminded Nigerians of the need to live in peace with one another and abstain from activities that could lead to disharmony.
According to him, Jesus Christ exhibited a servant leadership style when He washed the feet of His disciples and made Himself available to die for the sins of mankind.
Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba therefore appealed to religious leaders to emphasize the importance of religious harmony for peace to reign in every part of the country.
