Gov Ahmed Aliyu Approves Major Cabinet, Civil Service Reshuffle

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has approved the posting of commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, and permanent secretaries in a fresh administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance across the state. The postings take immediate effect.
Under the new arrangement, Hon. Balarabe Kadadi was moved from the Ministry of Culture to the Ministry of Youths and Sports, while Dr. Bashir Achida was redeployed from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development. Nura Shehu Tangaza also moved from the SSG’s Office to the Ministry of Environment, while Engr. Mustapha Kofar Marke was transferred from the Ministry of Youths and Sports to the Ministry of Culture.
The governor also reassigned several special advisers. Garba Moh’d S/Birni was posted to Legislative Matters, Muhtari Bello Abdurrahman to Environmental Sanitation Matters, Shi’itu M. Bello to Corporate and Social Responsibility, Alhaji Tukur Sanyinna to Domestic Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Jabo to Economic Planning, Mamman Aliyu Salihu to the Department of Tourism, while Faruku Labbo was moved from Domestic Affairs to Political Matters. In addition, Senior Special Assistants Jimmai Bello Kware, Nana Mamman Nasarawa, and Mr. Emmanuel Okereke were posted to Women and Affirmative Action, Women Stakeholders Engagement, and Resident Community Enlightenment, respectively.
The reshuffle also affected permanent secretaries and an acting permanent secretary. Aliyu Ladan Isa was transferred from the Ministry of Solid Minerals to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, while Usman Arzika Bodinga moved from Home Affairs to the Ministry of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship. Other postings include Isma’ila Ibrahim Binji to the Ministry of Higher Education, Buhari Umar to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development, Moh’d Bello Yusuf to the Department of Security, Aliyu Magaji to the Ministry of Special Duties, Abdullah B. Mohammed to the Ministry of Solid Minerals, Musa Mohammed to the Ministry of Transport, Sidi Almustapha to the Ministry of Youths and Sports, Hadiza Galadima to the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Jibril Sa’adu to the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to a statement signed by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Sokoto, Abubakar Bawa, the postings take immediate effect.
