Men’s Fashion Week Benue 2025 Kicks Off in Makurdi

The Men’s Fashion Week Benue 2025, an annual platform for both emerging and established designers to display their creativity and craftsmanship, has officially begun in Makurdi, the state capital.

Mshelia Jamal, the producer and creative director of Dericks Dim Fashion, organisers of the event, noted that this year’s edition also marks the 5th anniversary of the fashion show, which continues to gain prominence within and beyond the state.

He explained that the two-day event opens today, November 19, 2025, with a specialized fashion masterclass designed to equip participants with essential industry knowledge and practical skills.

According to him, the initiative has continued to grow, creating opportunities for designers to gain visibility while motivating young talents across the region.

The activities will peak on November 20, 2025, with the main runway show, where designers and models will take the spotlight at the Dream Event Centre, Makurdi.

Jamal told journalists in Makurdi that 15 designers have confirmed their participation and will present their collections at this year’s runway, demonstrating the event’s growth and rising significance in Nigeria’s fashion industry.

He assured that the Men’s Fashion Week Benue will further position the state as an emerging hub for fashion innovation, offering a distinct blend of creativity, culture, and contemporary style.
