The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has achieved about 85 percent of its contribution target for the first half of 2026, despite what its management described as a period of significant institutional transformation.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Fund, Mr. Oluwaseun Faleye, disclosed this while declaring open the 2026 Half-Year Management Performance Review (MPR), which was held simultaneously across six regional locations.

Faleye said the achievement reflects the dedication of the Fund’s regional and branch leadership as well as the commitment of staff to deliver results despite prevailing challenges. He stressed the need for digital transformation, improved data quality and simplified operational processes to reduce delays, noting that while technology is important, the core mandate of NSITF remains focused on people.
Also speaking, the Executive Director (Operations), Mrs. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, who also chairs the Regional Management Performance Review, urged regional and branch leaders to prioritise measurable outcomes over routine activities. She noted that the Regional MPR remains the Fund’s principal platform for evaluating performance, reviewing previous resolutions and agreeing on practical measures to strengthen compliance with the Employees’ Compensation Act while expanding coverage across the country.
