Senator Jibrin Commends Ejeh of Dekina, Describes Monarch as Dedicated Team Player at 30th Anniversary

Senator Jibrin Isah (Echocho), representing Kogi East, has praised the Ejeh of Dekina, Dr. Usman Obaje, describing him as a warm, approachable leader and a dependable team player.
The senator made these remarks while joining other distinguished personalities to mark the monarch’s 30 years on the throne.

He also commended the people of Dekina for their sustained loyalty and respect for their traditional ruler over the decades.
Senator Echocho urged members of the Igala community to continue upholding and honoring traditional institutions, noting that monarchs serve as God’s representatives on earth. He further advised Igala politicians to remain focused on their responsibilities and not be distracted by unnecessary criticisms.
While acknowledging the contributions of past and present administrations in Kogi State, the senator lauded former Governor Yahaya Bello for recognizing the importance of traditional institutions and praised the current government for sustaining the same policy direction.
Extending his congratulations to Dr. Obaje, Senator Echocho offered prayers for continued peace, unity, and development throughout the monarch’s reign.
The anniversary celebration attracted several prominent dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Dr. Ahmed Usman Ododo, who was represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo. The event also witnessed a strong presence of traditional rulers, notably the Attah Igala, Alhaji Akwu Obaje, the Ejeh of Ofu, and other monarchs from across the region.
