Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has married Queen Zaynab Ngohemba, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

The marriage took place in Mbakor, Benue State, and was confirmed by a member of the Dajoh family, Abraham Double-D Dajoh, through a celebratory post shared on social media on Friday.

According to the family, the union is a “beautiful” and “uncommon” addition to the Akume family. They expressed appreciation to supporters of the SGF and called for continued loyalty and goodwill as the couple begins a new chapter together.
The Dajoh family also formally welcomed Queen Zaynab to Benue State, popularly known as the “Food Basket of the Nation,” describing her reception as one filled with warmth and rich cultural hospitality.
Queen Zaynab was formerly known as Olori Wuraola during her 17-month marriage to the Ooni of Ife, which ended in 2017.
Confirming the development, Akume’s spokesperson clarified that the couple had been married for over a year, dismissing reports suggesting that the wedding occurred during a recent Christmas celebration.
