Tiwa Savage Speaks on Secret ‘Disrespectful’ Romance With Nigerian Celebrity

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage, has opened up about a past relationship with a fellow celebrity, describing it as secretive and “disrespectful.”

In a recent appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, Savage revealed that the romance was deliberately hidden from the public eye, but the secrecy came with emotional strain and humiliation.

She explained that the unnamed celebrity often flirted openly with other women at events, later reassuring her that his actions were meant to divert suspicion about their relationship.

“I was in a relationship with someone famous. He said we couldn’t go public, and I agreed. But then we’d go out and he’d be touching and laughing with other women, right in front of me, and then look at me and say, ‘Don’t worry, it’s just so people don’t suspect,’” Savage recounted.

The award-winning singer emphasized that while she understood the need for privacy, the situation became toxic because her feelings were ignored. “It wasn’t about the secrecy, it was the disrespect. I felt silenced even when I was clearly uncomfortable,” she said.

Although Savage withheld the celebrity’s identity, her remarks have stirred widespread speculation on social media, with some fans linking the story to past rumours about her and Wizkid. However, neither Savage nor the alleged celebrity has directly responded to the speculation.
