2027: APM Releases Timetable, Fees for Elective Offices

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, including fees for aspirants seeking elective positions on the party’s platform.
In a statement signed by the party’s National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the nomination fee for State House of Assembly was fixed at ₦2 million, House of Representatives ₦5 million, Senate ₦8 million, Governorship ₦25 million, while the Presidential form will cost ₦35 million.
Dantalle also disclosed the expression of interest fees for the various elective offices. According to him, aspirants for the State House of Assembly are to pay ₦400,000, House of Representatives ₦500,000, Senate ₦2 million, Governorship ₦3.5 million, while the Presidency attracts ₦5 million.
He stated that in line with the 2026 amendment to the Electoral Act, the party would adopt consensus and direct primaries as modes for the conduct of its primary elections.
According to the timetable released by the party, activities will run from May 6 to May 15, 2026, while Ward Congresses, Local Government Congresses and State Congresses are scheduled for May 21, 22 and 23, 2026 respectively.
The timetable further indicated that National Assembly, Governorship and State Assembly primary elections will hold on May 28, 2026.
Primary elections for all elective positions will be conducted as scheduled, while resolution of disputes arising from the exercises will be handled on the same day.
Dantalle urged party members and aspirants to strictly adhere to the timetable, assuring all contestants of a level playing ground, while reiterating that the party remains open to all Nigerians.

Primary Elections will hold from 10:00am – 1:00pm for State Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate positions, while Governorship primaries will hold from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.
Resolution of disputes, if any, will hold from 5:00pm – 6:00pm on the same day.
Presidential Primary Election – 30th May, 2026
The Presidential Primary Election will hold from 11:00am – 3:00pm, while resolution of disputes arising from the exercise will take place from 4:00pm – 5:00pm on the same day.
Mode of Primaries: Consensus and Direct.
