NCPC Executive Secretary, Bishop Adegbite, Greets Muslims on Eid-ul-Mawlid
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe as they celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
This was contained in a statement issued by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations at the Commission.
In his goodwill message, Bishop Adegbite urged Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and live in accordance with the principles of Islam, a religion of peace. He encouraged them to pray for one another, preach peace, and continually uphold the President, Vice President, and all national leaders in their prayers.
The NCPC helmsman further appealed to Muslims to pray for improved security in the country and support the government’s efforts in tackling prevailing challenges. He also advised that the Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration be used as an avenue to enlighten followers on Islamic injunctions through lectures and symposia.
