Nigerians have been called upon to remain patriotic and support the government in addressing the various challenges confronting the nation.

The Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, made the appeal at the opening of the four-day annual Divine Commonwealth Conference in Abuja. He expressed optimism that the country would recover and regain its lost glory if citizens unite to collectively confront the issues facing the nation.

Speaking on the theme of the conference, “And The Lord Remember,” Archbishop Ndukuba assured that God would transform the nation and restore its dignity.

He urged both Christians and non-Christians to remain steadfast in faith and believe in God’s ability to resolve the challenges confronting individuals and the nation at large.

The Anglican Primate also appealed to the Federal Government to give hope to underprivileged children by creating more job opportunities. According to him, it has become difficult for graduates without influential connections to secure employment in federal establishments.

He emphasized that addressing corruption, nepotism, and favoritism would help rebuild citizens’ trust in governance.

Most Reverend Ndukuba further stated that once these issues are resolved, Nigerian youths would have fewer reasons to seek opportunities abroad.
