Aide to Orji Uzor Kalu, Aminu Shehu Uba Sharada, joins race for Kano Municipal House of Representatives seat ahead of 2027 elections.
As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the Personal Assistant to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia North), Aminu Shehu Uba Sharada, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Kano Municipal Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Sharada’s declaration, contained in a statement issued by his media team, marks a significant milestone in his political journey and underscores his commitment to public service, grassroots development, and effective representation.
Seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the aspirant explained that his decision was motivated by a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people of Kano Municipal, as well as his desire to contribute meaningfully to their growth and well-being.
He noted that Kano Municipal, as a historic hub of commerce, culture, and human capital, deserves proactive and responsive representation that prioritises youth empowerment, economic opportunities, quality education, and infrastructure development.
According to him, the time has come to bring fresh energy, innovative ideas, and people-oriented leadership into the legislative process.
Drawing from his experience in public service and his close involvement in governance at the national level, Sharada expressed confidence in his ability to effectively represent his constituents and advocate policies that will positively impact their lives.
He also appealed to party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women, and elders across the constituency to support his aspiration, emphasising that unity and collective effort are key to building a stronger and more prosperous Kano Municipal.
Sharada further reassured the people of his commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability, promising to serve as a voice for the voiceless and a bridge between the government and the governed.
