FG unveils Digital Training Academy, graduates 928 tech talents

The Federal Ministry of Education has unveiled the National Digital Training Academy (DTA), reinforcing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on education, innovation and human capital development.

Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, announced the initiative during the graduation ceremony of 928 beneficiaries of the one-year professional diploma programme under the World Bank-assisted Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project in Dutse, Jigawa State.
Alausa explained that the project, implemented in collaboration with a private university, is a flagship initiative designed to equip young Nigerians with advanced digital skills and prepare them for opportunities in the evolving digital economy.
Speaking at the event, Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi described the graduation as another milestone in the state’s investment in human capital development. He noted that the programme had provided graduates with practical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and other emerging digital technologies.
In her goodwill message, the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Ahmed, commended Governor Namadi for prioritising education, youth development and digital innovation as key pillars of governance.
