First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Hosts 2025 Christmas Carol As Rev. Deji Oyelami Calls on FG to Ensure Smooth Yuletide
First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada, Abuja, has successfully held its 2025 Christmas Carol in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The carol service featured Bible lessons, hymns, and prayers of thanksgiving, with special renditions by the Church’s Children’s Department Choir, the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) Choir, and the Victory International Choir.
In his message, the Minister in charge of the church, Reverend Deji Oyelami, described the birth of Jesus Christ as the greatest gift ever given to humanity.
Reverend Oyelami urged Christians to continually emulate the teachings and virtues of Jesus Christ in all aspects of their lives.
He further stressed the importance of shunning practices that undermine the true meaning of Christmas, while remaining steadfast in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The cleric also used the occasion to appeal to the Federal Government to put in place adequate measures to ensure a smooth and hitch-free Christmas celebration across the country.
He equally emphasized the need for policies that would help cushion the impact of the prevailing economic challenges facing Nigerians.
While wishing the congregation a Merry Christmas ahead of the festivities, Reverend Oyelami encouraged well-to-do Christians to remember the less privileged before, during, and after the yuletide season.
